Grants and bursaries are awarded to groups and individuals for a wide variety of purposes relating to the culture of the Isle of Man and its people including art, crafts, language, literature, history, folklore, music, folk-dance, natural history, ecology, archaeology, architecture, law and industrial development.
Applications are carefully considered by the Board so that awards can be made within the framework of our policies and the Manx Heritage Foundation Act.
The first point of contact for detailed enquiries is funding@culturevannin.im
More information can be found in the downloads on the right, where you can find the form in a variety of formats. Please note that new forms apply for each financial year, and all successful applicants must complete an End of Project Monitoring form.
Information on grants awarded forms part of our publicly available annual accounts and report, and grants are awarded on this basis. General conditions are outlined in full on the application form and conditions specific to an application are outlined in the grant letter.
Please note:
Applications should be received no later than twenty days before each meeting.
The final cut-off for electronic submissions is 12 noon on that Friday and applications not received in time will be deferred to the next meeting.

UPDATE FOR GRANTS AFFECTED BY COVID-19
Existing grant recipients have 2 years to complete a project, and we will work with any recipients who have already had outgoings for events which now have been cancelled. We want to support you all in the very best ways we can, and to do this, we need to be updated should there be any change to the time-frame.
All extensions to deadlines for grants must be agreed with the Board.
Gow shiu kiarail - take care!
