A short film explaining the features of a tram on the Manx Electric Railway, using Car No.1 Oldest Operational Electric Tramcar in the World still operating on its original line.

Explained in this short tour around the tram are: the trolley, the bogies, the break cylinder and the hydraulic brakes, the wheels, the sand, the air compressor and compressed air tank, the coupler, the turtle-back roof and the rest of the interior.

The film is made on MER Car No.1, the Guinness Book of Records authenticated Oldest Operational Electric Tramcar in the World still operating on its original line.
It is the first ever item of rolling stock obtained in 1893, from G.F Milnes, for the Douglas and Laxey Coast Electric Tramway, entering service during September 1893.
The film is made to mark its 130th anniversary in 2023.
