taking our culture forward

An ancient Manx tradition saw someone ascend the Island's highest mountain each year to sound a horn three times.

Who? When? Why?

These questions are answered in this short film which revisits the Forester's Lodge and re-enacts a practice which took place at Oie'll Columb Killey (8 June) as far back as the 1550s.

The film is presented by Chris Callow and features traditional Manx music arranged and performed by Mark Lawrence.
