A heartbreaking 19th century song of emigration which has never been published and only survives thanks to three generations of Manx people; 'The Emigrant's Lament'

The story of this song goes from the poverty of the Foxdale Mines in the 1880s through to the disappointment of emigration to the mines of Colorado in the 1890s, down through two generations of Manx sons, before it is set down in a recording here for the first time...
