On Your Doorstep
Thu, 07 Mar 2019
We are delighted to be taking part in the On Your Doorstep weekend this year, offering free folklore tours of St. John's and a free Manx music concert, as well as the chance to visit the cultural centre on a weekend.
The On Your Doorstep weekend has been organised for people to participate in new experiences and activities to share with their visiting friends and relatives. We were delighted to be a part of this weekend on Saturday 23 March, as it gives us a chance to share and pass on some of the rich Manx culture which is all around us.
There will be a live performance of traditional Manx music from the young musicians of Bree at 3pm inside the cultural centre (which will be free, of course).
There will also be a free Manx folklore tour of the Tynwald Hill area of St. John's on offer across the afternoon (at 12.15pm, 1.15pm, 2.15pm and 3.15pm). This free tour will include Manannan, giants, cursed stones, witches, good luck, mooinjer veggey and more!
Although free, booking is required (here).
