A new biography of one of the Island’s most distinguished politicians, A W Moore has been launched in Tynwald. As well as being Speaker of the House of Keys, Moore was a prolific author, and wrote many of the important historical books about the Isle of Man. He died in 1909, and the new biography, by Robert Fyson, has been launched to commemorate his centenary. Visiting the Island for the launch was Moore’s great-grandson, William Moore, who is a master at Eton.
